Several years ago, The Row put backpacks back on our handbag radar with the buzzworthy $34,000 Alligator Backpack, and ever since, backpacks have been popping up all over the fashion industry. I didn’t go crazy for The Row’s backpack, or any backpack after that – as bags, they simply remind me of my awkward middle school wardrobe. As of right now, though, this Yliana Yepez’s Capri Python backpack is quickly making me rethink my previous stance.
The color of this bag is soft and subtle, but the bag itself is anything but. The blush python is perfect for spring and summer, and with a detachable top handle, you can easily find great uses for this backpack, even if you carry it as a shoulder bag. The interior is spacious enough for daily essentials, and it features an interior zip pocket and a suede lining. One of my favorite aspects of this bag is the two exterior side pockets, mostly because of their easy accessibility. I can see myself wearing this bag to the office or walking around the city doing some weekend shopping. Bags that are both show-stopping and functional are my favorite pieces to own, and while this bag is an investment, it’s definitely a worthy one.
